SPD4459 [Nostalgia懷舊篇] 瑞記咖啡 Shui Kee Coffee - by Natalie

Ladies and Gentleman, this Saturday, Natalie will going to introduce you an old style cafe to take a rest. Not much variety of food for you to choose, but this is a place for you to think about the good old days... Shui Kee Coffe located in the Municipal building at Sheung Wan, not much tourist know about this tiny cafe, even the local people, they may not try this before.

 Yes, this is the menu of  Shui Kee Coffee. It only provides some basic foods for people to choose. You know what? People before only can afford to eat these food, not like now, we can enjoy different kinds of food in Hong Kong. In the menu, it is all about different ingredient of the sandwich. For example ham with cheese sandwich, ham with egg sandwich, beef sandwich, beef with egg sandwich and etc.

Hong Kong Style French Toast
 This Hong Kong style French Toast is pan fried instead of deep fried, so it is much more healthier :P Other restaurant will serve the toast with butter and honey, but in Shui Kee, the french toast was served by condensed milk. I love this milk very much!! It would not be too fat like butter with honey i think~~ It is very delicious!!

Beef and egg sandwich
The beef and egg sandwich was one of the famous dishes in the Cafe. Not like other traditional Hong Kong style sandwich, it used the bread of hot dog. I think this combination is quite special and unique. The sandwich was a little bit hot when serve, bread is so soft and the beef taste so good. I ordered twice finally.

Beef Noodle
 My friend ordered this beef noodle, i didn't try this noodle because i think the beef were too raw for me. The taste of the noodle was as usual as other noodle served in other restaurant. However, when you are in hungry and you sit in such a nostalgic place, you will say that this is fantastic!

Last but not least, i must introduce this cold bottle milk tea to you all. This is a MUST ORDER item because this is super delicious in my point of view. It is not too sweet and the tea taste is quite strong. This represent that this milk tea was truly  made by fresh tea leaf, therefore, this is the one i strongly recommend you to try!!

SPD4459 [NightLight 夜蒲篇]---Tapeo: Bar De Tapas y Vino By Frankco

黎到中環SOHO, 心裡面一定係本住食高質既食物而黎, 而尼Tapas係我第二次去。
食既野如下
牛面頰, 係我每次黎都一定叫既一味菜, 因為真係好味, 牛既肉質的確軟身, 炆到岩岩好, 而且賣相吸引。

第一次食既時候經理話尼道菜好受歡迎所以推薦我地食的。牛肉面同青豆蓉配搭起來異常夾而且保留到牛肉的味道, 醬汁帶點甜, 令人愛不惜手。吃完後,我也覺得非試不可呢。

西班牙甜酒, 食西班牙菜必備, 酒味相比起普通甜酒其實有點濃

西班牙海鮮飯, 裡面既海鮮有魷魚, 蜆同蝦, 感覺的確很鮮, 但飯我諗應該唔關西班牙事。

Tuna tartar, 賣相很好,味道也好。Tuna很Flash, 另一方面配上芝士和多士一食微鹹而且香口, 烘脆了的多士令口感很捧。Tuna沒偷功減料, 啖啖肉。可以一戰。

SPD4459 [Dessert 甜品篇] Pierre Hermé + 壓軸推介: 英國傳統糖果店Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe - by Jun

Previously, I introduced a dessert store in IFC called petite Amanda, and of course, petite Amanda is not the only one dessert store in IFC. Since IFC is located in the heart of Hong Kong - Central, and includes a luxury shopping mall, a lot of famous restaurants have rented a place or even just a corner to sell their products. Pierre Hermé is one of them.




Pierre Hermé is a international leading group created by Pierre Hermé and Charles Znaty in 1997, and has been expanding its network strongly since 2010. That's the reason why today we can go to HK's IFC to purchase its products.





Pierre Hermé is well-known for its macarons. Therefore, this time I am going to introduce its macarons.











Among the different sets of macarons, I chose Hong Kong Landmark!


Hong Kong Landmark
There are 7 pieces in a box of Hong Kong Landmark. Here are the 4 flavors I love the most.


Macaron Veloutés Framboise 紅桑子乳酪
The first one is Macaron Veloutés Framboise. It's raspberry flavor. Sour and sweet tasting with some raspberry flesh and yogurt in between. I bet raspberry-holic will love it very much.


Macaron Veloutés Citron Vert 青檸乳酪
Macaron Veloutés Citron Vert is lime flavor. It also tastes sweet and sour but this mixture of taste is different from raspberry's. I like yogurt and the flavor of lime and thus I love this macaron.


Infiniment Chocolat Porcelana (Pure Origin Venezuela Porcelana Dark Chocolate) 白瓷黑朱古力
I am a chocoholic and this Infiniment Chocolat Porcelana is exactly my cup of tea! Fortunately it's made with dark chocolate, it's not too sweet and remains dark chocolate's fragrance and richness. 


Ispahan (Rose, Litchi, Raspberry) 玫瑰荔枝紅莓
Well, finally come to my favorite pick! Although I like the dark chocolate one, this Ispahan is the most satisfying macaron since it surprised me. The fresh-tasting rose perfectly matches with the sweet and sour litchi and raspberry. This mixture of flavors successfully creates different level of tastes. Therefore, this should be termed as a must-try item!

因為今篇係最後1篇[Dessert 甜品篇], 我決定為大家送上壓軸推介: Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe!!!!!

呢間充滿英國風既糖果店係非常強大既外國勢力, 因為係英國已經擁有超過百年歷史, 上個月尾先攻入香港既擺花街, 同英國店一樣, 呢間位於擺花街既首間香港分店亦沿用維多利亞式設計, 係咪好似哈利波特電影既場景咁呢? 仲有超過1000款糖果, 連懷舊既rhubarb, custards, 同handmade既Toffees, Fudges都有!! 








今次開業, 連政府都出press release介紹, 真係好巴閉架!



未去過英國或者去完返黎好掛住果到D糖果既話, 呢間店一定要去喇!

P.S. FB有好多糖既相, 慎入! 因為睇完會好心動!! :D

With an impressive buffet, Pier 7 has great harbor views and a cool outdoor terrace.




Pier 7 Cafe & Bar is the best city view by the harbor.




























There is a fine view of the IFC & Four Seasons from this bar.
You can bathe in the sun on the open terrace outside the restaurant


There is a salad bar with limited choices. 
Only basic items such as beets, potatoes, and tortilla chips.

The beer selection is poor, with only dull international brands such as Carlsberg, Heineken and Corona.

However, there is a good selection of cocktails.

Overall

Services: staff are helpfulness. 


Atmosphere: Welcoming, simply tidy and neat.


Environment: Relaxing atmosphere. You can get to look out of the windows.

SPD4459 [Cafe 休閒篇] Blue Place Cafe, 神秘的Cafe - by Hazel




自從宣佈左西環興建地鐵後, 西環就漸漸興旺起來~
變得越來越多西餐廳, Cafe, 酒吧~


以下介紹既神秘Cafe就喺位於西環堅尼地城卑路乍街.

沒有錯, 呢度確實喺Blue Place Cafe
也沒有錯, 呢度亦都喺一間專賣戶外運動服飾的店鋪

再仔細望望左下角, 大家有無見到個棟喺度既meun呢?


其實Cafe就喺在服飾鋪裡面啦, 真喺相當神秘, Hazel我都算喺經常經過, 但每次經過都沒有發現裡面有間Cafe, 直至有一日朋友介紹我才發現.





讓我簡單介紹一下Blue Place啦 !

Blue  Place 是一間賣戶外運動用品的品牌,名氣雖不及Nike , Adidas 等等同類似的牌子, 但它在香港經已分設8間分店, 更是第一間在香進駐飲食業的運動品牌店.

Blue Place Cafe 一共兩層, 地下主要售賣運動用品.









但走到盡頭有一小空間售賣蛋糕和外賣飲品, 二樓則是餐廳雅座.








行上二樓, 感覺完全不一樣 !










 

二樓分開不同的格局, 每幅牆都有屬於它的設計, 有的是暖爐前的大椅, 有的是滿佈書本的房間, 書卷味濃厚, 更有供多人用餐的長餐桌, 天花上掛有一部Projecter, 相信可以作為開會聯誼聚餐等的地方就最適合不過了.

食物:





Red Velvet Cake ($36)

顏色鮮紅艷麗的Red Velvet Cake , 外內皆用黑白朱古力唧成一條條層疊式的網狀紋, 輕巧地把紅絨蛋糕分成三層. 雖然每一層都是一樣. 但每一啖都吃到濃郁甘甜的朱古力味道. 細軟滑溜,甜度剛好. 不過蛋糕質感偏乾身鬆散, 每切一口都總有蛋糕碎散落碟上, 拌碟上的士多啤梨醬酸酸甜甜, 很醒胃! 













Chocolate Raspberry Cake($36)

表層舖滿Oreo曲奇碎的Chocolate Cake, 蛋糕與呈軟心朱古力的Truffle mousses梅花間竹交疊, 質感實淨,但口感幼滑, 中層是黑朱古力mousses, 不太甜, 裡面還隱藏著一點點紅莓籽, 隱約帶來酸甜酸甜的效果. 



Flat  White ($32)

店員小心翼翼地從地下端上來一樓的Flat White , 由淡奶拉出而成的心形葉紋拉花. 泡沫豐厚極致, 呷一口唇邊已是白白一層泡沫, 不過奶的比例較低, 似是Latte 多於Flat  White.














Chamomile Tea ($38)

吃完較油膩的東西, 自然要點一些花茶消一消滯, 始於是點了洋甘菊花茶. 一壺透明色的壺子, 直接裝上了洋甘菊,而是非一包包的茶包形式, 感覺不太美觀, 更重要的是欠缺了一小蠟燭去保暖加熱, 有欠完美. 不過, 茶香清幽, 喝下去總令人舒服.














總括而言, 環境舒服, 食物不錯, 下次大家過來西環, 不妨花少少時間尋找下這間神秘的Blue Place Cafe..
