SPD4459 [Dessert甜品篇] SEVVA - by Jun

If you're not contented with the previous desserts I recommended before, if you want something "high", then you have to pay attention to this post(!!), coz I am going to recommend you to have a high tea in SEVVA. (However, this time I will not introduce desserts only coz desserts were just a part of the whole tea set.)

Previously, I introduced Cake's Secrets 詩餅坊, and the chef of Cake's Secrets 詩餅坊 is a former SEVVA's chef, that's why Cake's Secrets' quality is guaranteed.

However, what Cake's Secrets cannot be mentioned in the same breath is the environment and atmosphere here. SEVVA has indoor and outdoor area.

Indoor

Outdoor

As a fine dining restaurant, SEVVA's interior as well as its exterior design are both excellent. You can comfortably enjoy the amazing Central's view while having your great and relaxing afternoon tea here. What a wonderful afternoon!

SEVVA has 2 options for the high tea set. One is signature high tea set, and another one is vegetarian high tea set. This time, I would like to introduce signature high tea set. Here is the menu.

Here is the tea set and the Central's view as a natural background. :D

The tea set has 3 layers. Now I am going to introduce one by one from top to bottom.

Top

Mini Crab Cake Burger: It's interesting as the buns were black. There were crab cake, tomato, onions and lettuce between the black buns. It was crispy and delicious.

Vegetable Spring Rolls: The wrapper was thin so it's decently OK.

Toasted Crumpet with Smoked Salmon & Chive Cream Cheese: The smoked salmon was fresh and the cream cheese matched with the taste of Salmon. Good but nothing impressive.

Middle
Mini Short Rip Burger: The beef was cooked medium rare, nice! The red onion piece made the burger more fresh-tasting.

Chicken Roll Sandwich: It's funny coz it was wrapped like a candy. But the taste was like tuna rather than chicken. Overall, it was still good.

Ms.B's Turkey & Salad Sandwich: SEVVA used whole grain bread, the taste is good but a little bit dry and tough to eat.

Bottom
The Original Caramel Crunch Cake: It's delicious! This is SEVVA's signature cake and I didn't disappointed. It was light, the sponge cake was soft and fluffy and the cream was milky! Good!

Mini Mont Blanc: The cake was made with pureed chestnut and a meringue biscuit. It was light and not too sweet. Tasty!

Pineapple Carrot Cake: It's also delicious! A lot of carrot in it but I couldn't taste pineapple. (?_?)

Chocolate Fudge Cake with Marmalade: Very good! I love chocolate and this was exactly my cup of tea, and the taste was rich and not too sweet so nothing to complain.

Cigar Wafer Cookies: Not bad! Light and crunchy with a vanilla taste.

Overall speaking, the quality is good and the taste of the desserts are OK and personally speaking, they were better than the burgers and sandwiches. However, the price is quite expensive, after all SEVVA's a fine dining restaurant and the environment and atmosphere here are included in the price. So, if you want to have some "high" desserts along with Central's amazing view, SEVVA is a good choice.
